The Grand People’s Study House, a temple for all-people learning, is situated in the centre of Pyongyang, the capital of the revolution.
Covering a total floor space of about 100 000 ㎡, this ten-storied Korean-style building is divided into ten sections with 30-odd Korean-style roofs.
Both of its outside and inside are magnificent.
The building has a library with huge housing capacity of books at its centre, 20-odd reading rooms with 6 000 seats, over ten lecture rooms provided with modern educational facilities, several Q&A rooms and music listening rooms.
As a base of social education, the house sponsors lectures and workshops on various sci-tech problems and other important issues on a regular basis. It also plays the role as a sci-tech dissemination base.
