The world-famous Mt. Myohyang is situated in the northwestern part of Korea and in the middle of the Myohyang Mountains.
It was explored long ago, but from the early 11th century it began to be called so in the meaning that it is a beautiful mountain with mysterious shapes and peculiar fragrance.
From olden times the Korean people have ranked it as one of the most celebrated mountains in the country.
The mountain has been widely known to the world for its beautiful scenery. It is associated with the struggle of the Korean people against foreign invaders, and many cultural heritage can be found in the mountain.
Today it has become all the more famous for grand monumental edifices built in the era of the Workers’ Party of Korea, including the International Friendship Exhibition House.
